📓 Trimester 3 Portfolio 📝

Hey everybody! In this post, I’m going to be showing you my best work from this trimester, the third and final one of the year. I hope you find this interesting and enjoy it, too!

Language Arts:

In language arts, I’m most proud of all of the IXL tests that we have taken. In the third trimester, I don’t think I have gotten below a 98 on any of them. I’m proud because not many people did well on those tests. They also raised my grade a lot. We had about only fifteen minutes to finish each of them, and if you weren’t satisfied with your score, you had to give up some or all of your recess to raise your grade, but I never had to do that because I always finished 😊.

This is my score for IXL R.3.

This is my score for IXL M.4.

This is my score for IXL Y.8.

This is my score for IXL AA.9.

Math:

From math class, I’m most proud of my sequencing test we just took. I am proud of it because I am one of the two people who got a really good grade on that test. Everyone else got A-‘s, B’s, C’s, or below. I got an A (98% to be exact)! I wasn’t confident at all for this test. I thought I didn’t know the concept very well, but apparently, I did. I got one wrong out of 48, which I think is really good.

Check out my math test here.

Science:

My best piece of work from science class in the third trimester is the assignment called Drawing Parts of an Atom. I am proud of it because it took a lot of time to understand and I got 100% on it. We had to figure out how many protons, neutrons, and electrons in a specific atom. We had to draw the element using different colors. It was really hard and confusing when I first started learning about atoms, but I got the hang after a while.

These are the directions.

These are the atoms I drew.

These are more atoms I drew.

Social Studies:

In social studies, I am most proud of my telescope presentation. We all had to create a slideshow on an invention that was invented during the Renaissance, and I chose the telescope. I chose it because I am interested in astronomy. Learn about telescopes in my slideshow here. I didn’t make the background plain, boring white. I =made it filled with stars! I think I got 100% on that, too which is really good.

Art:

For art, I am most proud of my abstract art painting that we recently did. We had to do a painting that included dots. Our teacher said that the original kind of art had a lot of snakes, so I painted a snake out of dots! I am proud of it because it turned out really good at the end. I also like all of the colors I put in it. The abstract line patterns that I drew with sharpie turned out pretty cool, too.  I incorporated ombre dot patterns to make it more interesting.

This my abstract art painting.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed reading about my best work from trimester three! See you in my next post! (If I ever write another one :))

🎉 SBC Week 10 – Reflect and Celebrate 🎉

Hey everybody! This week is the last week of the Student Blogging Challenge. As the title says, we have to reflect and celebrate. I will be auditing my blog. I hope you enjoy!

Over the course of the Student Blogging Challenge, I have participated in all ten weeks. I have also written a total of twelve posts during SBC. The post I enjoyed writing about the most is the one called Baisan. I like writing that post because it was a free choice so I could write about whatever I wanted. I wanted to write about an exciting event, so I chose Baisan. I love telling people about my experiences, so that’s why I liked writing that post. I received five comments. There were some from HMS people and some from non-HMS people. One of the web tools I used to show the creativity of my blog was an emoji generator. It was the easiest one to work with. All I had to do was look up what I want, and the things that related to it the most popped up. I pressed on it, and then, copy and pasted it into the post. My plan for my blog now is to keep posting weekly or more often until the school year is over. (It’s almost over 😢)

Kally’s thoughts about my blog:

When Kally first saw my blog, she thought that it is really cute with all of the emojis and flowers. What caught her attention was my cute style with the flowers and the pictures I chose for the background and header images. Kally’s favorite post was the post called ♥️ Three Places I Would Love to Visit ♥️ because she liked how I listed why I wanted to go to that specific place. She also liked all of the pictures I chose. She even said they were beautiful. What distracted on my blog were all of the pictures. She said she couldn’t stop looking at them. A suggestion that she made for my blog is to make my tagline bigger, so it is easier to read.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it! It has been fun doing SBC this year. I will miss it when I leave.

Dana’s blog:

I recommend Dana’s blog because of an abundance of things. Her blog appearance is really nice. I like that she writes about things like community service. It shows that she is a good person. Her blog also includes an about me post and page, and she also writes about books. She also seems extremely good at ballet. Her content is fun, entertaining, and inspiring. It inspires me to do community service and to read more, too. She isn’t lazy when she writes her posts, too. That is all of the reasons why I recommend her blog. You can visit Dana’s blog here.
